Joseph,
Could you please post this in the alt.startrek.creative. I haven't been
able to figure out how to post a textfile from the VAX NetNews system. I was
thinking about uploading it into the archive, but I wasn't sure if it was going
to be posted or not. If you can help me with postings from the VAX NetNews
system it would be appreciated. I also have an Ultrix account but having been
able to figure out the commands there either.
Post this if you can, or send me E-Mail on how to post a textfile. I
didn't want to hand copy it into the newsgroup.
See ya. . .

This story is for all those klingon fans who would
like to see some stories about our favorite side of the
galaxy. This story is written during the time period
of ST:TOS. The klingon ship is a D-7 class
battlecruiser with standard compliments, but with a
very agitated captain.
Honour Before Pride
Captain's Personal Log: Stardate 12094.3 (c. 2130)
I have been patrolling the Federation border for the past
three weeks. I have been waiting for those cowards to cross into
Klingon territory. I have unfortunately been told not to go into
Federation space and destroy the pathetic humans myself. For the
peace and honour of the empire. I am to sit here like a damn
coward myself. I am having my engineer check on the disruptors
to make sure we a re ready for battle. I wait patiently, but my
patience is running thin, for my warrior's blood is running hot.
End Log Entry.
Captain K'Rox sits in his quarters with his dagger in hand. he has
been looking at it his weapon and running his hands along the blade. He
presses a button along the hilt and watches as the secondary blades jut
out. A COMM signal is heard.
"Captain K'Rox. We have finished with the disruptor check.
Everything is functioning normally," says a klingon voice.
"Commander Darkax. See to it that our scanners are functioning. if a
Federation vessel comes within 5,000 kilokams of this area, I want to know
about it," says Captain K'Rox.
"Yes captain," says Cmdr. Darkax.
K'Rox runs his fingers along the blade again. he screams a loud roar
as he slams the blade along the table. He walks out of his quarters and
heads toward the bridge. He slams a few klingons into the walls as he
walks along the tight corridors.
The bridge doors slide open with a clamouring sound. he walks in as a
few klingon officers look at their captain. He walks up to his chair and
sits with a slight slant to the right.
"Report," says K'Rox.
"Nothing to report captain," says Darkax.
K'Rox grits his teeth and growls slightly. He jumps up from his
chair.
"I hate this waiting! Why won't they come and fight!" says K'Rox.
"Sir. The humans are not warriors. Their race knows nothing about
honour," says Darkax.
"Damn. I am to sit here and do nothing," says K'Rox.
"The High Council demands that we stay on this patrol until further
notice," says Darkax.
"The High Council are a bunch of fools," says K'Rox.
A few klingons look at their captain, but quickly turn back to their
duties.
"Sir. I am as much ready to go into battle as you, but we have out
honour to consider. We can not defy the High Council," says Darkax.
K'Rox. growls as he sits back down into his chair.
"The council put me here because they enjoy watching me suffer like
this. I would rather be dancing with Romulans, then be out here. At least
the Romulans would attempt to attack me during the dance," says K'Rox.
"Yes captain," says K'Rox.
K'Rox looks intently toward the viewscreen watching the stars drift by
at warp speed. K'Rox rubs his chin and strokes his beard.

Captain's Personal Log: Stardate: 12098.6
I have been patrolling the Federation border still. My
first officer has notified me that the Qarnas is on an intercept
course with us within three days. Captain Vorvo wants to speak
to me about a plan that will. . .lighten my day.
I have the engineer doing abnormal systems checks, but I
have nothing else to do here. I am bored beyond comprehension.
my life as a warrior has diminished to a field scout on the
border of a cowardly race. But this will soon change.
End Log Entry.
K'Rox is eating with his fellow officers in the Dining Room of the
Thalos. the crew is sitting around a double oval table. they are laughing
and knocking each other around.
"Saron. You couldn't fight a romulan with those ears of yours. You
wouldn't be able to hear him coming because you keep plugging them up with
those fingers of yours," says Welnor.
"You couldn't fight because you would hurt those precious hands of
yours. You take so good a care of them, maybe you should be a Federation
officer. Arggh," says Saron laughing.
"Maybe the Romulan females would be glad to. . . kiss those hands of
yours," says Feron.
"At least the females would be kissing something worth kissing," says
Welnor as he grins at Feron.
They all began to laugh, except K'Rox. He grins every once in awhile,
but sits there spinning a fork-like utensil around in a circle on his
plate.
Darkax looks over to his captain with a smile. His smile turns to a
frown.
"Something wrong with the food captain?" asks Darkax.
K'Rox slams his hand on the table and swipes the plate off. the rest
of the klingons quiet down as they look at their captain.
"I am not a child. I do not need you to take care of me Darkax. I am
a warrior, not a baby in the arms of my mother. Bah, I sit in this
infernal hell as the rest of the empires fleet is out fighting," says
K'Rox.
K'Rox stands up and walks out the door. Darkax looks down at his
plate and frowns. The rest of the klingons quickly begin to talk about
Welnor's hands again. The klingons begin to laugh and toss around their
goblets. Darkax thinks for a moment and then begins to get into the
conversation himself.

Captain's Personal Log: Stardate: 12102.8
The Qarnas is due to rendezvous with us within two hours. I
am impatient to hear from Captain Vorvo. his idea of entering
Federation space interests me greatly. Since we are within range
of a Federation outpost within a few days travel this will be
greatly anticipated.
I am hoping to finally go into battle against some
Federation heavy cruisers. I have been waiting this long and I
can no longer wait.
End Log Entry.
K'Rox sits in his chair on the bridge. His officers prepare for the
arrival of the Qarnas. The viewscreen shows stars floating by at warp
speed. A signal from the Tactical Officer, Lt. Saron, notifies Darkax that
the Qarnas is within visual range.
Darkax walks over to stand in front of K'Rox.
"Qarnas within visual range," says Darkax.
"Put it on viewer," says K'Rox.
The image on the viewer showing a small object in the center of a star
field.
"Magnify image," says K'Rox.
The star field begins changing to that of a klingon battlecruiser.
Ah. Good. Now we can get down to business. Are we within
communications range?" asks K'Rox.
"Hailing the Qarnas now," says the COMM officer, Lt. Welnor. "Qarnas
responding to hail."
"On screen, closed channel," says K'Rox.
The screen switches to an image of a klingon captain. Sitting with
his command cloak around him.
"Greetings Captain K'Rox," says Capt. Vorvo.
"Captain Vorvo. I am waiting to hear from you," says K'Rox.
"Indeed captain. I will transport over when we are within range.
Vorvo out," says Vorvo.
The viewscreen switches back to the image of the battlecruiser. K'Rox
smiles and sits back in his chair.
